Senator Ajagunnla Renovates High Courts in Osun Central, Boosts Justice Delivery
Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has embarked on a major renovation and furnishing project for the High Courts in Ila Orangun, Ikirun, and Okuku. The initiative is aimed at improving access to justice and enhancing the efficiency of the judiciary at the local level.
Senator Fadeyi, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Environment and is a Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard University, said the project is part of his commitment to strengthening legal institutions in the state. “The court stands not only as a symbol of justice but as a space where fairness, peace, and resolution must flourish,” he said in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Digital Media, Bashorun Adekanola Desmond Abiodun.
Chief Justice of Osun State, Justice Adepele Ojo, expressed appreciation for the Senator’s support, describing the renovation as a positive development for the judiciary. Former Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a native of Okuku, also commended the Senator, noting that the improved facilities would facilitate more effective judicial operations.
Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Court of Appeal, who hails from Ila Orangun, added: “This is the first instance of a Senator prioritizing the judiciary,” highlighting the milestone significance of the initiative.
Observers say the project underscores the role of lawmakers in supporting public institutions and improving governance at the grassroots. With these renovations, Senator Ajagunnla has not only enhanced the working conditions of the judiciary but also demonstrated leadership in community development.
