The socio-cultural organization, Itesiwaju Ikirun, has extended heartfelt condolences to two prominent sons of Ikirunland, Hon. Otunba Abiodun Sarafadeen Awotunde and Hon. Wahab Abiona, following the recent deaths of their close family members.
In a statement jointly signed and made available to journalists in Ikirun on Saturday by the group’s President, Alhaji Khalid Ibrahim, and Secretary, Comrade Adebiyi Wasiu, the association described the losses as deeply painful and prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved families.
Hon. Awotunde Sarafa recently lost his younger brother, Awotunde Muideen Olalekan. Itesiwaju Ikirun prayed that Almighty Allah grants the deceased eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and provides the family with the strength to bear the loss.
Similarly, the group conveyed condolences to Hon. Wahab Abiona, who recently lost his mother, praying for Allah’s mercy upon her soul and for peace and fortitude for the family.
The statement added: “Itesiwaju Ikirun prays that Almighty Allah surrounds both families with patience, mercy, and peace during these challenging times. We stand united with you in grief and in prayer for the repose of the departed souls.”
The association also commended both leaders for their dedication to the progress and development of Ikirunland and reaffirmed its solidarity with them during this period of mourning.
