Ododo Hails First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at 65
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, as she clocks 65.
In a goodwill message yesterday, the governor described the First Lady as “an amazon whose life of service, devotion to God and compassion has inspired countless Nigerians.”
Ododo noted that Mrs Tinubu has remained a shining light through her tireless commitment to women, children, and the less privileged.
He said: “Your Excellency, at 65, you embody grace and the testimony of a purposeful life. You continue to inspire hope across our nation through your strength, dignity and compassion.”
While praying for her good health and longer life, the governor expressed confidence that the First Lady would continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in championing causes that uplift the nation.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, I rejoice with you on this special occasion and pray the Almighty grants you more years of wisdom and strength,” he added.
President Tinubu had earlier celebrated his wife in a personal tribute, describing her as his confidant, counsellor and “steadying anchor” through decades of political and personal struggles.
Before becoming First Lady, Mrs Tinubu represented Lagos Central in the Senate for three consecutive terms, sponsoring several interventions in education, gender equity and social welfare.
Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she has continued to drive humanitarian and empowerment programmes across health, agriculture, social investment and economic empowerment for vulnerable Nigerians.
