Osun APC Governorship Ticket Open to All Zones, Says Party Treasurer
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has reiterated that its 2026 governorship ticket is open to aspirants from all zones, dismissing claims of zoning to a particular senatorial district.
Speaking on a live radio program yesterday, the State Treasurer of the party, Hon. Femi Kujembola, emphasized that the party has never restricted its governorship candidate to any specific zone.
“APC has never zoned its governorship candidate to any particular senatorial district. The ticket can come from any of the three zones in Osun State,” he stated.
Kujembola noted that the party prioritizes competence, capacity, and loyalty over zoning arrangements. He added that the main objective is to field a credible candidate capable of securing victory for the party in the 2026 election.
On the implementation of the Prof. Adewole Committee Report, Kujembola explained that the party is gradually rolling out its recommendations and urged the public to disregard “false claims or misleading narratives” circulating in some quarters.
He further assured members that the APC leadership remains committed to a transparent, fair, and inclusive process aimed at uniting the party ahead of the polls.
Kujembola called on aspirants across the three senatorial districts to pursue their ambitions with respect and decorum, stressing that the ultimate goal is to ensure party victory and the overall progress of Osun State.
