Tinubu will secure Nigerians’ mandate again in 2027, says APC chair

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027.

Yilwatda, who spoke yesterday on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, said the ruling party remains united behind Tinubu’s leadership and has already endorsed him for a second term.

“At the summit of the party, the governors, National Assembly members and the entire members of the party that attended endorsed President Tinubu as their preferred candidate for 2027,” Yilwatda said.

He stressed that the APC is a listening party that aligns with the collective will of its members.

“We are the party that listens to the voice of our members. If the members of the party endorsed him, the party will of course go along with him. That’s our position as a party. We will go with the voices of our members and what they stand for. Nigerians voted Tinubu as president in 2023, they will do the same in 2027,” the APC chairman added.
