NIM Urges Members to Champion Innovation and Integrity

The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered has called on its members to be agents of change, urging them to uphold discipline, integrity, and accountability in their workplaces and communities.

President of NIM, Abimbola Ayuba, made the call on Monday at the institute’s annual National Management Conference, themed “Leveraging Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation, Creativity and Productivity.”

Ayuba stressed that Nigerians must shun corruption, greed, and self-interest, which have hindered national development. He said progress can only be achieved in a secure and conducive environment, urging citizens to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“No meaningful development can take place in a chaotic or insecure atmosphere,” he said.

Speaking to journalists, Pastor Michael Owoyemi of Ondo State noted that while conferences like this offer valuable insights, the main challenge remains applying these lessons in practice.

“We talk about ICT, creativity, innovation, and productivity. But until Nigerians are determined to implement what they learn, change will remain limited,” Owoyemi said.

He added that although Nigerians are naturally good managers, constitutional and systemic constraints often prevent many from fully harnessing their talents.
