The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kaduna State chapter, has dismissed as false and misleading the claims by a former member, Ahmed Tijani Mustapha, who allegedly parades himself as a leader of the party after his expulsion.

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 30, 2025, and signed by the State Chairman, Elder Patrick D. Ambut, the party said Mustapha was expelled on October 21, 2025, by the State Executive Committee for gross misconduct, anti-party activities, and insubordination.

Ambut said the decision followed months of reconciliation efforts and interventions by senior party figures and coalition partners, all of which Mustapha allegedly ignored.

“Ahmed Tijani Mustapha is no longer a member of the ADC. His expulsion was carried out in accordance with Article 22(h) of the ADC Constitution and approved by the State Executive Committee,” the statement read.

The party reaffirmed Elder Ambut’s leadership as the only legitimate and recognized authority in Kaduna State, backed by the National Secretariat and the National Working Committee (NWC).

The statement also accused Mustapha of anti-party conduct, citing video evidence where he allegedly endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last local government elections in his capacity as former Kaduna IPAC Chairman.

According to the ADC, such actions were a “betrayal of the opposition cause” and proof of collaboration with the ruling party to weaken opposition forces in the state.

The statement further noted that the ADC’s structures remain intact in all 23 local government areas, with the leadership focused on mobilizing genuine members and preparing for upcoming political activities.

“The ADC in Kaduna State is not for sale and will not bow to the antics of political moles planted by external interests,” Ambut added.

The party urged the public to disregard any statement issued by Mustapha, warning that legal action would be taken if he continues to impersonate ADC leadership.

Copies of the statement were forwarded to the National Chairman of the ADC, INEC, security agencies, coalition partners, and media organizations.
