Tinubu’ll lose 2027 election despite vote-buying, Primate Ayodele predicts

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election, insisting that inducements such as money and food would not secure victory for the President.

Speaking during a church service in Lagos, Ayodele backed recent comments by the Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, on the state of the nation, saying the cleric had spoken the truth about the hardship facing Nigerians.

According to the cleric, many Nigerians are experiencing hunger and frustration, warning that public dissatisfaction could be reflected at the polls.

Ayodele also criticised some Pentecostal leaders, alleging that they had failed to tell the President the truth about the country’s situation.

“I give it to Archbishop Onaiyekan for what he has said to the president. Leave him. If Tinubu likes, let him take it or not, but there is anger and hunger in the land,” he said.

He further claimed that attempts to influence voters with money or food would not change the outcome of the election.

“By the election, you will see how people will show their grievances. Rice and money will not stop it. We are telling you to do the right thing. All these surrogate aides will push you into a fire that will burn you. Tinubu will lose this election,” Ayodele said.

His remarks come amid an ongoing public debate following Cardinal Onaiyekan’s comments on the country’s economic situation and the Presidency’s response to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria.
