APC campaign council to hold inaugural meeting ahead of Osun governorship poll

The National Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 15 Osun State governorship election will hold its inaugural meeting on Monday in Abuja.

The meeting will be chaired by the council’s chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, alongside the council’s secretary and Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin.

According to a notice issued by the APC National Campaign Council, the meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, 30 Jose Marti Street, Asokoro, Abuja.

The notice, jointly signed by Uzodimma and Barau, invited all members of the council to attend.

“All members of the National Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress for the Osun State Governorship Election are invited to the meeting of the council.

“The meeting is scheduled to hold on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Kano State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro at 3:00 p.m.,” the statement read.

The meeting comes about a week after the APC constituted a 276-member National Campaign Council to coordinate its campaign ahead of the August 15 governorship election, as the party seeks to reclaim Osun State from the Accord Party.
