First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has celebrated fathers across Nigeria and around the world, commending their love, strength and sacrifices in building families and society.

In a goodwill message to mark Father’s Day 2026 on Sunday, the First Lady said fathers play a vital role in shaping the character, confidence and future of their children through their guidance, protection and dedication.

“On this Father’s Day 2026, we celebrate the love, strength, and sacrifice of fathers across Nigeria and around the world.

“Fathers play a vital role in shaping the character, confidence, and future of their children. Through their guidance, protection, and dedication, fathers help build strong families and stronger communities,” she said.

Oluremi Tinubu also extended her tribute to father figures, mentors and role models who continue to provide support and care for families.

She prayed for continued wisdom, strength and good health for fathers, urging them to remain a source of inspiration to their families.

“Today, we honour all fathers, father-figures, role models, and mentors who show up each day, working to provide for their families.

“May you continue to be a source of wisdom, strength, and inspiration to your families. Happy Father’s Day,” she added.
