NNPP Ward Chairman Resigns in Kano

The Ward Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ketawa Ward, Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Isyaku Ali Danja, has resigned his membership of the party.

 

Danja announced his decision in a resignation letter dated March 29, 2026, stating that it takes immediate effect.

 

He said the move followed careful consideration, without providing further details on the reasons behind his exit.

 

“I, Rt. Hon. Isyaku Ali Danja, hereby wish to formally tender my resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) with immediate effect,” the letter read.

 

“This decision has been made after careful consideration.”

 

He expressed appreciation to the party for the opportunity to serve, noting that his time in the NNPP afforded him valuable experiences and relationships.

 

“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have been a member of the party and for the experiences and relationships built during my time,” he added.

 

The resignation comes amid ongoing political realignments within the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
