The institution said a considerable number of certificates belonging to former students who successfully completed their programmes remained uncollected, some for several years.
The notice was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar, Examinations and Records Division, Mr Saka Eletu, on behalf of the Acting Registrar.
According to the statement, the certificates are essential for employment, further studies, professional advancement and other official engagements.
The polytechnic urged affected former students to collect their Diploma, Higher Diploma, National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) certificates from the Examinations and Records Division during official working hours.
It warned that, beginning January 1, 2027, any certificate left unclaimed would attract a demurrage charge of ₦2,000 per month.
The management advised graduands and alumni to take advantage of the grace period to retrieve their certificates before the deadline and avoid the additional financial burden.
It listed the requirements for collection as the original Statement of Result, a valid means of identification and evidence of payment for the certificate.
