The inauguration, held at Adolack Events Centre, Osogbo, attracted thousands of supporters drawn from the 30 local government areas, communities and towns across Osun State.
Addressing members at the event, leaders of the Osun Redemption Movement applauded the Adeleke administration for what they described as its developmental achievements and inclusive style of governance. They noted that the governor had provided opportunities for people from different parts of the state to serve in key positions, thereby promoting unity and broad-based participation in governance.
The group urged its members to remain steadfast in advancing the objectives of the movement and formally declared its support for Governor Adeleke’s re-election in the 2026 governorship election.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the event, Aare Asejere thanked the leadership and members of the movement for their confidence in the governor and their commitment to sustaining support for his administration.
He described the large turnout at the inauguration as a demonstration of the people’s belief in Governor Adeleke’s leadership and vision for the continued development of Osun State.
Asejere also stressed the need for peaceful political engagement, maintaining that violence, intimidation and other undemocratic practices have no place in the electoral process.
According to him, credible elections can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace, urging political actors to conduct their activities responsibly and in accordance with democratic principles.
He further commended security agencies for maintaining law and order throughout the inauguration, expressing appreciation for their professionalism in safeguarding lives and property during the event.
