Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, who presided over the session, read a total of 13 letters from lawmakers notifying the House of changes in party affiliation.
The Oyo lawmakers who moved to the APM are Anthony Adebayo, Adedeji Olajide, Sunday Makanjuola, Oyedeji Oyeshina, Fola Oyekunle and Adigun Adekunle.
In their separate letters, the lawmakers attributed their decision to leave the PDP to the party’s prolonged internal crisis and leadership disputes.
The development means six of Oyo State’s 14 House of Representatives members have now joined the APM.
Elsewhere, Auwalu Gwalabe of Bauchi State also defected from the PDP to the APM.
The PDP, however, recorded some gains during the session.
Shehu Dalhatu, representing Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency of Katsina State, defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP.
According to his letter, the decision followed consultations with his constituents and concerns over developments within the APC.
Delta State lawmaker Etanabene Benedict also left the Labour Party (LP) for the PDP, citing the crisis within the party.
Similarly, Alex Egbona defected from the APC to the PDP, while pledging continued commitment to his legislative duties and constituents.
In another development, Edo State lawmaker Esosa Iyawe left the APC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), attributing the move to irreconcilable differences with the APC in Edo State.
Also, Gbefwi Gaza of Nasarawa State defected from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to the Labour Party.
