Tinubu stated this after participating in the APC presidential primary election at Ikoyi-Obalende Ward L2 in Lagos on Saturday.
The President said the exercise had strengthened democratic participation and grassroots political engagement within the party.
“This is a demonstration of internal democracy, and it has been going on very well according to plan. This is grassroots politics where every member of the party has the right to participate.
“It shows that we have internal democracy and it’s peaceful and well organised,” Tinubu said.
He commended party members for their conduct during the exercise, praising their commitment to democratic principles.
The President also reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to transparent and inclusive political processes that allow party members to participate freely in choosing leaders and representatives.
According to him, grassroots participation remains central to sustainable democratic development.
Tinubu further commended electoral officials, party leaders and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and credible exercise.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions and national unity.
