Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Vice Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council of Chiefs and Etsu Patigi, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, described the development as a significant moment in the state’s political history.
He said the move reflected fairness, inclusiveness and commitment to political balance across Kwara State.
“Backing Kwara North’s aspiration proves that the leadership is serious about justice, unity and keeping peace across all regions of the state,” the monarch said.
“This move has given the people renewed hope, strengthened political harmony and boosted confidence in the APC at both state and national levels.”
Bologi also commended Governor AbdulRazaq for what he described as his commitment to fairness, unity and development in the state.
He further thanked President Tinubu and the APC leadership for supporting what he described as a long-standing aspiration of Kwara North to produce the governor of the state.
According to him, addressing the district’s demand for power rotation would remain a notable milestone in Kwara’s political development.
The traditional rulers also pledged continued support for peace, unity and democratic governance while praying for wisdom and good health for President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq and other APC leaders.
