Salam Donates 10 Buses, 150 Motorcycles to Boost Adeleke’s Campaign in Osun

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Bamidele Salam, has donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to campaign coordinators in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.

The vehicles were handed over on Tuesday, May 11, 2026, at the country home of the late Isiaka Adeleke in Ede during the official launch of campaign activities across the federal constituency.

Salam, who chairs the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, said the logistics support was distributed to coordinators drawn from 42 wards across the constituency, noting that the gesture was designed to enhance door-to-door mobilisation and improve campaign outreach.

According to him, the intervention was necessary to ensure effective movement of party agents and coordinators, while urging beneficiaries to make judicious use of the vehicles throughout the campaign period.

The lawmaker expressed confidence in the re-election bid of the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, saying the administration’s performance would guarantee electoral victory.

At the event, Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni commended the initiative and urged recipients to deploy the vehicles responsibly while maintaining safety during campaign activities.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council and Minority Leader of the Senate, Lere Oyewumi, described the donation as a reflection of Salam’s commitment to grassroots politics and party development, stressing that public office should translate into tangible impact for constituents.

Earlier, the Chairman of the campaign council, Wale Oladipupo, formally inaugurated the Ede Federal Constituency campaign committee and charged members to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the polls.

The constituency campaign council is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, with local government chairmen and party stakeholders also included in its structure.

The event attracted political stakeholders, including the Osun State Chairman of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, lawmakers, government officials and party supporters.

Salam, who is also eyeing re-election to the National Assembly in 2027, has continued to play a prominent role in campaign logistics and mobilisation within the state’s political landscape.
