Salaam Felicitates Adeleke at 66, Calls for Stronger Democratic Institutions in Osun

Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam, on Wednesday congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on the occasion of his birthday, urging sustained commitment to democratic values, good governance, and inclusive leadership in the state.

In a goodwill message issued in Osogbo, Salaam described leadership as a heavy responsibility that requires constant reflection on service delivery, accountability, and the collective aspirations of the people.

He stressed that despite political differences, the peace, stability, and progress of Osun State must remain a shared priority among all stakeholders.

“Leadership comes with enormous responsibility, and occasions such as this provide an opportunity for reflection on service, governance, and the collective aspirations of our people. Regardless of political differences, Osun State remains greater than any individual or political party,” he said.

The ADC governorship candidate, who is also a former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, called for the strengthening of democratic institutions to deepen public trust and enhance governance outcomes in the state.

According to him, robust democratic engagement remains key to sustaining unity and development in Osun State.

“It is my sincere hope that our democratic engagements will continue to strengthen the institutions of governance in Osun State and further deepen the confidence of our people in leadership and democracy,” the statement added.

He wished the governor good health, wisdom, and continued service to humanity.

“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency. I wish you many more years in good health, wisdom, and dedicated service to humanity,” he said.

The statement was signed by Rt. Hon. Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam, governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Osun State.
