LP crisis resolved, coast clear for 2027 — Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, says the crisis that rocked the Labour Party has been resolved, declaring that the party is now ready for the 2027 general elections.

Otti stated this on Friday in a post on his official X handle while reacting to the presentation of a free nomination form to him by the party’s National Working Committee at the Abia State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.

The form was presented by the party’s National Chairman, Nenadi Usman.

Speaking after receiving the form, Otti commended the party leadership for resolving the prolonged internal disputes that threatened the stability of the party.

“I commend Senator Usman for her leadership in steering our party out of the protracted crisis that once plagued it,” he said.

The governor stated that the party had overcome all legal and political obstacles ahead of the next general elections.

“Today, I am confident that the coast is clear for the Labour Party to move forward into the next general elections, as all legal impediments have been effectively resolved, with no subsisting litigation against our party,” Otti stated.

He also thanked the National Working Committee for the gesture and pledged continued loyalty and support to the party.

“I sincerely thank the leadership of our great party, including the National Chairman, the National Secretary Hon. Obioma Iheanacho, and all members of the NWC, for this honour. I assure you that I do not take this gesture lightly,” he said.

Otti further promised not to disappoint the party and vowed to continue supporting its growth and development.

“I pledge never to disappoint the Labour Party and will continue to support it in every possible way,” he added.

The governor dedicated the recognition to the people of Abia State, saying their support continued to inspire his administration’s commitment to governance and service delivery.
