The group’s Interim National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, made this known in a post on Sunday, stating that the movement remains committed to Obi’s political future despite what it described as attempts to undermine his ambition.
Tanko pointed to growing grassroots mobilisation across the country, particularly in the North, as evidence of sustained public support.
He cited the emergence of a new support structure, “Peter Obi 4 President Movement,” led by Comrade Awal Abubakar Rafin Kuka, which he said has presence in 19 states across Northern Nigeria.
According to him, the development underscores increasing nationwide engagement with Obi’s political project.
Tanko maintained that efforts to frustrate Obi’s ambition have instead strengthened his appeal, adding that the movement remains focused on its message of political reform and national renewal.
He reaffirmed the group’s slogan, “A New Nigeria is POssible,” expressing confidence in its vision ahead of the next general elections.
