The controversy began after an X user, #UOladiti, shared an edited video clip with the caption suggesting that Akindele ignored the Fuji star during the event, sparking widespread debate on social media.
Reacting on Sunday via her official X handle, Akindele firmly denied the claim.
“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.
The viral clip showed Akindele at a crowded indoor event, exchanging pleasantries with actress Fathia Balogun during a birthday celebration, while Pasuma was briefly seen seated at a table. The video, however, did not clearly capture any direct interaction between both stars in that short segment.
Further footage circulating online paints a different picture. In a longer version of the video, Akindele is seen warmly greeting Pasuma, smiling, standing close to him, and engaging in friendly conversation before moving on to greet other guests.
Observers have since noted that the viral clip appeared selectively edited, creating a misleading impression of what transpired at the event.
The gathering, which celebrated Fathia Balogun’s birthday, also had other notable guests in attendance, with multiple recordings confirming Akindele interacted with several attendees throughout the occasion.
