The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified moves to reconcile its internal structures and strengthen campaign coordination ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, as the party’s Campaign Council held a strategic meeting with the State Executive Committee (Exco).

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting, the Media Office of the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, said the engagement was aimed at fostering unity and ensuring a cohesive approach to the forthcoming election. He noted that the initiative reflects the determination of the party leadership to galvanize members across all levels for electoral victory.

The Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, who led the delegation, stressed the supremacy of the party and called on all stakeholders to align with its leadership and decisions. He underscored the need for discipline, strategic planning, and commitment, describing them as critical factors that would determine the party’s success at the polls.

Oke also expressed appreciation to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy for his support, as well as to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him to serve in the role, assuring party members of inclusive engagement throughout the campaign period.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, received the delegation and facilitated discussions with members of the State Exco, focusing on preparedness, coordination, and shared responsibilities.

Contributing, the Assistant State Secretary, Hon. Waheed Adediran, urged the Campaign Council to fully integrate the party’s structure by assigning clear responsibilities, adding that the party remained committed to securing victory.

In her remarks, the State Woman Leader, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, called for enhanced capacity-building initiatives for party members, while the State Welfare Officer, Deaconess Ayangbile Adesola, advocated improved welfare and greater inclusion of women in party activities.
