The development was made known on Monday through a post shared on the actor’s Instagram page, where he uploaded a photo of himself lying on a hospital bed.
Salami revealed that he narrowly escaped death within the last 48 hours, expressing gratitude to God for sparing his life.
“I survived the last 48 hours because God said yes,” he wrote.
The actor attributed his condition to extreme stress, noting that Kilanko, a newly released cinema project produced in honour of late filmmaker Allwell Ademola, had taken a toll on his health.
“I’m not the type to say ‘Devil is a liar’ because I’ve truly stressed this body. Kilanko has taken too much from me,” he added.
