The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is set to preach at Lambeth Palace in London on Thursday, as part of activities lined up for President Bola Tinubu’s state visit to the United Kingdom.
Lambeth Palace, the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, is a central institution of the Church of England.
According to the official itinerary published by AFP, the First Lady will also hold a meeting with representatives of the Church of England during the visit.
President Tinubu and his wife arrived in London on Tuesday, landing at Stansted Airport, ahead of a series of high-level engagements.
The visit—Nigeria’s first state visit to the United Kingdom in nearly four decades—is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations, with scheduled talks involving King Charles III and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
It will also feature engagements with members of the Nigerian diaspora in the UK.
Mrs Tinubu, an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has remained active in faith-based initiatives and women’s empowerment programmes in Nigeria, adding a religious dimension to the ongoing diplomatic visit.
