According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication covering the Lake Chad region, one of the blasts occurred at the Maiduguri Main Market shortly after iftar, around 7:00 pm.
The other explosion reportedly took place at the entrance of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, intensifying fears among residents.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as people scrambled for safety while emergency services rushed to the affected areas. The extent of casualties remains unclear as authorities continue rescue and relief operations.
