Middle East war: Nigeria releases emergency hotlines for citizens abroad

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has released emergency hotline numbers for Nigerians living in parts of the Middle East as tensions escalate in the region following the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict.

In a notice shared on its official X handle on Friday, the commission urged Nigerians residing in or travelling through affected countries to save the numbers and immediately contact the nearest Nigerian mission in case of emergencies.

NiDCOM said the hotlines are meant to provide urgent consular assistance to Nigerians who may require help due to the evolving security situation.

The emergency contact numbers released by the commission include:

Embassy of Nigeria, Abu Dhabi, UAE – +971 56 884 4130

Consulate-General of Nigeria, Dubai, UAE – +971 56 377 8678
