Former Arsenal midfielder, Ray Parlour, has cautioned the Gunners to be wary of Chelsea’s attacking and midfield strength ahead of Sunday’s Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium.
Parlour issued the warning while reflecting on Arsenal’s recent victory over Tottenham Hotspur, noting that despite the morale-boosting result, Mikel Arteta’s side must remain alert against a Chelsea team blessed with quality players capable of influencing the game.
The Arsenal legend specifically identified Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro as key threats Arsenal must contain during the encounter.
According to him, Chelsea’s midfield trio possesses the ability to dictate play and create dangerous moments, while Joao Pedro’s current form in attack makes him a major concern for the home side.
“Arsenal had a really good result against Tottenham, but you have to be wary of Chelsea because they have quality players,” Parlour said.
“Chelsea’s midfield, with Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer, can be very dangerous, and Joao Pedro is in really good form in attack.”
He, however, expressed confidence in Arsenal’s home advantage, stating that the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium could play a decisive role if the Gunners take an early lead.
Parlour added that Chelsea may struggle to recover should Arsenal score first in front of their supporters.
