Ado Bayero Mall Not For Sale, Management Warns Public Against Fraudulent Listings

The management of Ado Bayero Mall in Kano has clarified that the popular shopping centre is not for sale, describing reports suggesting otherwise as “fraudulent, misleading, and untrue.”

In a statement on Monday, David Okpanachi, the mall’s General Manager, said the management had not engaged any agent to market the mall nor held any discussions or negotiations regarding its sale.

Okpanachi emphasized that the mall, regarded as one of Kano’s key retail destinations, continues to operate at optimal capacity, serving the shopping, leisure, and lifestyle needs of both residents and visitors.

“Operations remain stable, and the owners remain focused on providing a secure and high-quality environment for tenants, customers, and the wider community,” he said.

He further cautioned the public, investors, and business partners to exercise vigilance and avoid dealings with anyone claiming to represent the sale of the mall. “Such representations are unauthorized and may amount to fraudulent activity,” he warned.

The management also assured that all official information regarding the mall will only be communicated through verified channels directly by its owners.
