Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on all state officials to fast-track ongoing projects across Osun State, emphasizing that there is no room for distractions in public service.
According to Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor’s spokesperson, “Governor Adeleke has directed officials supervising key projects in towns like Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, and Ikirun to ensure timely completion of mega projects. He stressed that governance tempo must be sustained in the best interest of the people.”
The governor, who reportedly conducts secret inspections of ongoing projects, expressed satisfaction with the performance of his team, noting their commitment and long hours. He insisted that the people of Osun should continue to witness tangible results, citing the dual carriageway in Ila Orangun, urban transformation in Ile Ife, and modernisation initiatives in Iwo.
“Osogbo is already telling a great story, but we must not rest,” Governor Adeleke said. “We should not give our detractors any breathing space. Our answer to their shenanigans should be more delivery of democratic dividends. All contractors are directed to double up. Osun people have strong faith in us, and we cannot allow any contractor to dash or slow down their hope.”
The governor’s directive comes amid several ambitious infrastructure and urban renewal projects aimed at enhancing the state’s economic and social landscape.
