The African Democratic Congress, ADC, on Thursday commenced a nationwide membership revalidation, mobilisation and fresh registration exercise as part of efforts to strengthen its internal structure ahead of future political activities.
The exercise was formally flagged off in Abuja, with members of the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, state leaders, stakeholders and supporters in attendance.
ADC leadership described the initiative as a major organisational step aimed at rebuilding the party’s database, expanding its grassroots reach and repositioning it as a stronger force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
According to the party, the exercise will produce a credible and updated membership register and enhance participation across all levels.
As part of the new process, ADC announced the inauguration of State Membership Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration (MRMR) Committees to coordinate the exercise nationwide and ensure transparency and accountability.
The party also declared that all previously issued membership cards have been invalidated, stressing that only the newly issued cards under the current exercise will be recognised.
It directed all existing members to complete the revalidation and registration process to retain full membership rights and privileges.
ADC reaffirmed its commitment to democratic ideals and said the exercise marks the beginning of a renewed push to build a broader, people-driven political movement across the country.
