The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the ward-by-ward rotation of its Integrated Voter Enrolment Devices (IVEDs) across Osun State as part of a new phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
INEC’s Public Affairs Officer in the state, Musa Olurode, disclosed this in a statement issued in Osogbo, noting that the exercise started on February 2, 2026, and is designed to deepen access to voter registration at the grassroots level.
According to him, the rotation system allows enrolment devices to move from one ward to another within each local government area to ensure wider coverage and reduce the stress of long-distance travel for residents seeking registration services.
He explained that eligible citizens can use the opportunity to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), request voter transfers, and carry out other approved updates to their records.
INEC said the ward-level registration exercise will run for 50 days and is expected to end on April 10, 2026. The commission added that detailed rotation timetables for each local government area will be made public to promote transparency and effective monitoring.
The statement assured residents and stakeholders that adequate logistics and personnel have been deployed to guarantee a smooth and orderly process throughout the exercise.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to an inclusive and credible voter registration process under the supervision of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Mutiu Agboke, and urged citizens to take full advantage of the exercise.
