Former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reclaim Oyo State in the 2027 general elections, declaring that the party’s resurgence has made victory inevitable.
Folarin spoke on Tuesday in Ibadan during the grand finale of a 14–federal constituency tour organised by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
The former lawmaker, who also serves as Oyo State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope initiative, said the APC has overcome internal divisions and is now united, focused, and strategically repositioned to take over the state government while ensuring the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, the massive turnout at the event was a clear indication that the party’s grassroots appeal is growing.
“Reclaiming Oyo State is no longer in doubt,” Folarin declared.
“Our goal is to significantly boost the fortunes of the APC through sustained advocacy, especially at the grassroots. What we are witnessing today is proof that people are reconnecting with the party and the Renewed Hope agenda.”
He added that if elections were conducted immediately, the APC would emerge victorious with a landslide.
Also speaking, Afeez Bolaji, Secretary of the APC Renewed Hope Team in Oyo, said party members had resolved to set aside personal ambitions in the interest of unity and loyalty to President Tinubu.
“Everyone has chosen to work together as a family, driven by love for the president and the desire to move the state forward,” Bolaji said.
Similarly, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, said the warm reception recorded across the 14 federal constituencies underscored the people’s readiness for an APC-led government in the state.
He noted that the enthusiasm also reflected widespread support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
“We have closed ranks and are now working as one indivisible APC,” Alli said.
“By the grace of God, the party will win at all levels — federal, state, and local government — in the next elections.”
