Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday evening visited former Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Moshood Adeoti, at his Iwo residence, where top officials of the state government and leaders of the Accord Party were also in attendance.
Governor Adeleke and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, were welcomed by an enthusiastic Adeoti women’s group, who sang praises of both the governor and their political leader.
Addressing the women, Hon. Adeoti highlighted the strategic role women play in electoral mobilisation, a remark that was met with lively political chants from the group in support of the governor.
Governor Adeleke equally appreciated the women for their loyalty and participation, joining them in a brief dance session as they rendered political songs.
After the reception, Adeoti and Governor Adeleke moved into a closed-door meeting. They were accompanied by top government officials including the Chief of Staff, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye; Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye; Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kolapo Alimi; Commissioner for Political Affairs, Dr. Biyi Odunlade; and the Governor’s Political Adviser, Hon. Muniru Raji, among others.
The two sides did not address the public at the end of the meeting.
