Osun NNPP Elects New State, Local Executives at Osogbo Congress

 

The Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has elected a new set of state and local government executives to pilot the affairs of the party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The congress, held on Monday at the party’s state secretariat in Osogbo, produced the officers through a voice vote supervised by the Electoral Committee chaired by Prince (Dr) Adedayo Adeyemi. Chief Olalekan Fabayo served as Secretary, while Solape Olatunbosun was a member of the committee.

Adeyemi described the exercise as transparent and orderly, urging the new officers to uphold the party’s constitution and work collectively to strengthen the NNPP in the state.

Re-elected State Chairman, Dr. Oluwatosin Odeyemi, who spoke on behalf of the new leadership, praised party members for their confidence and pledged renewed commitment to repositioning the NNPP.

Odeyemi called on members to unite, mobilize support, and deepen the party’s presence across communities. He also announced that the party’s primary election for the 2026 Osun governorship poll would hold on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ishola Olakunle and Abajesude Modupeola, monitored the congress.

Otunba Adekunle Abolade – Deputy State Chairman

Hon. Ismail Oladeji – State Secretary

Hon. Mofolasayo Makinde – State Treasurer

Hon. Aderonke Aderemi – State Financial Secretary

Mrs. Ajileye Bukola – State Women Leader

The congress marked a significant step as the party intensifies preparations toward upcoming political activities in the state.
