The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says the Federal Government will, in a matter of days, reveal the identities of individuals sponsoring terrorism across the country.
Bwala gave the hint on Sunday during an interview on Television Continental (TVC), monitored by The Nation. He said the administration was already taking “far-reaching” decisions, the outcomes of which would soon become visible.
According to him, terrorism has evolved into a global threat since the September 11, 2001 World Trade Centre attacks in the United States, adding that nations must now cooperate more closely with Nigeria to curb the menace.
He warned that terrorist networks are gradually shifting from the Middle East towards the Sahel region, posing fresh dangers to West African countries, including Nigeria.
“They were in the Middle East, and gradually they are moving into the Sahel to create a hub of terrorism,” he said. “This is why the demand is now on world governments to deepen cooperation with Nigeria.”
Bwala added that the Federal Government’s anti-terror operations will soon expose those aiding and financing violent groups.
“At home, the government is making far-reaching decisions, and in the coming days, we will know who the terrorists and their financiers are,” he said.
