Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is strategically positioned to make major political gains ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, who on Thursday formally registered as a member of the ADC in Yola, Adamawa State, made the disclosure in a post on X yesterday. He shared photographs of himself receiving his membership card alongside a customised “Waziri 01” jersey.
The registration ceremony, though brief, attracted a large crowd of supporters, party chieftains and community leaders.
Reaffirming the party’s growing momentum, Atiku said the ADC’s mobilisation efforts across the country were gathering pace.
“Yesterday, the ADC train made a stopover in Jalingo for the unveiling of the Taraba State secretariat of the Coalition Party. There’s no stopping the ADC; it is heading your way,” he wrote.
The development comes amid heightened political repositioning ahead of 2027, with parties consolidating structures and strengthening alliances across the states.
