Gunmen Invade Isapa, Abduct 10 as Kwara Police Launch Manhunt

 

The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of 10 residents following a violent attack by armed men suspected to be herders in Isapa community, Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.

The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on November 24, 2025, triggering a swift deployment of police operatives and local vigilantes to the area.

According to police reports, a woman who sustained a gunshot wound during the attack has been treated and discharged.

 

Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, visited the community on Tuesday to assess the level of damage and reassure residents of intensified rescue efforts. He pledged that the command would not relent until the abducted victims are safely reunited with their families.

Security teams are currently combing nearby forests in a coordinated search-and-rescue operation aimed at tracking down the culprits and restoring calm.

The police said normalcy has been restored in the community, while surveillance has been strengthened to prevent further attacks.
