BREAKING: Tinubu’s Swift Intervention Secures Release of 38 Eruku Abductees — AbdulRazaq

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) has announced the release of 38 worshippers abducted during the recent attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor credited the successful rescue to what he described as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “decisive and hands-on leadership”, noting that the President personally coordinated the security response that culminated in the victims’ freedom on Sunday.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaiye, Governor AbdulRazaq explained that President Tinubu had cancelled his scheduled trip to the G20 meeting in South Africa to focus on the security breaches in Kwara and Kebbi States. He said the President also ordered enhanced deployments, including four new tactical police teams sent to Kwara.

“The release of the abductees is a direct result of Mr President’s proactive measures and his unwavering commitment to the safety of Nigerians,” the Governor said.

He commended the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), and the Nigeria Police Force for their coordinated intervention.

The Governor also acknowledged the support of religious leaders, community figures, and residents across the state during the incident.

He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to strengthen partnerships with federal security agencies to ensure the continued safety of Kwarans.
