Otti Hails INEC Over Credible Anambra Poll, Congratulates Soludo on Re-election

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has congratulated his Anambra State counterpart, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on his re-election victory, describing the outcome of the governorship poll as a reflection of the people’s will.

Governor Otti, in a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting what he termed a “transparent and hitch-free” exercise, adding that the electoral umpire’s performance signified progress in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

He noted that the best way to deepen democracy in the country is to allow the electorate to freely choose their leaders through credible and peaceful elections.

“The people of Anambra have spoken through the ballot, and their voice must always be respected. This is how democracy grows stronger,” Otti said.

The governor also lauded INEC for the timely release of the results, saying the outcome underscored the confidence reposed in Governor Soludo by the people of Anambra State.

While urging Soludo to consolidate on the achievements recorded in his first tenure, Otti advised him to extend an olive branch to his opponents in the spirit of unity and development.

According to him, inclusive governance remains key to building a more prosperous and united Anambra State.

“The time to work together is now. All stakeholders with ideas and capacity should join hands with the governor to move the state forward,” Otti added.
