BREAKING: APC’s Ukachukwu Accuses APGA of Vote-Buying in Anambra Poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has accused the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) of engaging in widespread vote-buying in Saturday’s election.

Ukachukwu, who cast his vote at 11:46 a.m. at Umudimala 1, Polling Unit 011, Osumenyi Ward 2 in Nnewi South Local Government Area, alleged that reports from across the state indicated that APGA agents were inducing voters with cash.

Speaking with journalists shortly after casting his ballot, the APC candidate said:

“What we are hearing everywhere is that APGA is buying votes. It’s happening in many polling units.”

When confronted with allegations that APC members were also involved in vote-buying, Ukachukwu retorted by asking the journalist whether he was “an APGA agent.”

Despite his complaints, Ukachukwu expressed confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that the electoral body was “doing a good job so far.”

Flanked by his wife, Ukachukwu expressed optimism that he would triumph at the polls despite what he described as “massive vote buying.”
He added that the high voter turnout showed that the people were determined to end what he called the “ineffective leadership” of the incumbent governor.

“The people are tired of the current administration. They have come out in large numbers to make a statement. I’m confident that victory will come our way,” he said.

The APC candidate also reaffirmed his faith in God, insisting that divine will—not financial inducement—would determine the outcome of the election.
