Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Wednesday declared that President Bola Tinubu is the first Nigerian leader to have come to power fully prepared for the office.
Oyebanji spoke in Ado-Ekiti while inaugurating the construction of a Revenue House to mark his third year in office. He said Tinubu, having nursed the ambition to be president, has since assumption of office been “leading from the front”.
The governor rallied support for the President, urging residents to sustain prayers for him to succeed.
“For the first time in the history of this country, we have a president that is prepared — a president that wanted to be president and he is there,” Oyebanji said.
“He is leading from the front, so we must continue to encourage him with our prayers so that he will do more.”
The governor also voiced support for a second-term bid for the President.
“By the grace of God, Mr President will run for a second term. If we have seen this in three years, you can imagine what will happen in years four, five, six, seven and eight,” he added.
