Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has issued a stern warning to individuals plotting to manipulate the November 8 governorship election in the state.
At a campaign rally in Awka yesterday, Soludo said his administration is prepared to confront anyone attempting to rig the polls. “We know where they are planning, we know when, and we know how. We are ready. November 8, let them come and try it in Anambra. We are waiting,” he stated.
The governor also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a credible election. “We will cooperate fully with INEC, particularly under the new leadership. We are aiming for a model election in Anambra. The people will vote, votes will be counted, and results announced—nothing more, nothing less,” he added.
Soludo’s remarks come amid heightened political tension in the state as parties intensify their campaigns ahead of the polls.
