Ooni of Ife at 51: Hon. Wole Oke Hails Monarch as Symbol of Unity and Global Diplomacy

The Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, as he marked his 51st birthday, describing him as “a royal symbol of unity, culture, and global diplomacy.”

In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to journalists on Friday, Hon. Oke, who represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, commended the revered monarch for his visionary leadership and his unwavering commitment to promoting peace, harmony, and national cohesion among the Yoruba people and across Nigeria.

“Kabiyesi has distinguished himself as a bridge between the ancient and the modern, an inspiring monarch whose influence extends far beyond the palace walls to the global stage,” Hon. Oke said.

He added that at 51, Oba Ogunwusi remains a shining example of purposeful royalty, advocating cultural diplomacy, youth empowerment, and inter-ethnic harmony.

The lawmaker also lauded the Ooni’s consistent efforts in empowering young Nigerians, fostering unity, and promoting Yoruba heritage as a key component of Nigeria’s soft power and international image.

Praying for the monarch’s continued reign in peace and prosperity, Hon. Oke affirmed that Oba Ogunwusi’s leadership has restored dignity to the House of Odùduwà and strengthened the bond of the global African family.

“May Olódùmarè continue to bless His Imperial Majesty with long life, wisdom, and divine grace as he continues to serve humanity and elevate our shared heritage,” he concluded.
