Ajagunnla Felicitates With Ooni of Ife on 51st Birthday, Hails Leadership and Philanthropy

Distinguished Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Abdulazeez Fadeyi has extended warm felicitations to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, as he marked his 51st birthday. The message, released on Friday through the Senator’s Special Adviser on Digital Media, Bashorun Adekanola Desmond, highlighted the monarch’s significant contributions to the Yoruba community and the nation at large.

Senator Ajagunnla joined Nigerians, the people and chiefs of Ile-Ife, and the global Yoruba diaspora in celebrating the Ooni’s milestone. He commended Oba Ogunwusi for his exemplary leadership, maturity, and dedication since ascending the throne at 41, emphasizing the monarch’s pivotal role in preserving the rich cultural heritage of Ile-Ife, often regarded as “The Source” of the Yoruba civilization.

In his statement, the Senator lauded the Ooni’s wisdom and commitment as the spiritual leader of the Yoruba people, as well as his role as Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria. He described Oba Ogunwusi as a unifying figure, a strong supporter of government initiatives, and a tireless advocate for religious tolerance, peace, and national cohesion.

Senator Ajagunnla also praised the Ooni’s efforts in promoting youth and women empowerment through education and entrepreneurship, noting his philanthropic interventions aimed at uplifting communities across Nigeria and beyond.

Expressing optimism for the future, the Senator prayed for the continued success and prosperity of His Imperial Majesty’s reign, underscoring that the Ooni’s leadership would continue to benefit the people of Ife and the nation as a whole.

“Happy Birthday Kabiyesi, Oonirisa, Arole Oodua, Olofin Adimula! Kabiyesi, Igba Odun, Odun kan. Aseyi Samodun,” the statement read.
