Party sets up Governorship Primary and Fiscal Committee, pledges transparency
The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Osun State has taken another major step in its preparation for the 2026 governorship election, with the State Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, unveiling a committee to oversee the party’s primary election and related fiscal activities.
In a statement dated October 15, 2025, Dr. Odeyemi said the 13-member committee was set up after wide consultation to ensure a transparent, inclusive, and credible process.
The committee, chaired by Hon. Adekunle Ismail Abolade, has Hon. Kola Bamigbola as Co-Chairman and Hon. Mofolasayo Makinde as Secretary. Other members include Hon. Bolaji Akinyode, Alhaji Afolabi Abayomi, Hon. Adeyera Adesola, Mr. Hisa Ismail Oladeji, Hon. Sholape Olatunbosun, Chief Olalekan Fabayo, Prince Adedayo Adeyemi, Mrs. Ronke Aderemi, Mr. Olayode Aliu Abidemi, and Mr. Abiodun Lawal.
According to the statement, the committee’s mandate includes engaging all aspirants, coordinating the procurement of nomination forms, and determining the applicable state fees to support logistics and mobilisation across Osun State.
The NNPP fixed the Expression of Interest form at ₦1 million, and the Nomination form at ₦10 million, payable to New Nigeria People’s Party, UBA, Account Number: 1024986303.
Odeyemi assured that the decision has been communicated to the party’s National Headquarters, and that the process will be conducted transparently.
He urged all stakeholders to work with the committee, describing its formation as “a unifying step to strengthen the NNPP’s internal democracy and organisational structure ahead of 2026.”
