The Kwara State Government has approved the immediate dissolution of all Directors of Personnel Management and local government treasurers across the state’s 16 local government areas, Patriotic Insights News confirms.
The directive was issued in a circular dated October 13, 2025, by the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission and signed by Mallam R. D. Mustapha on behalf of the commission’s chairman.
According to the circular, affected officers are expected to hand over immediately to the Heads of Departments (Administration) and accountants in their respective local councils.
“This temporary arrangement will remain in place pending the appointment of substantive Directors of Personnel Management and treasurers,” the circular added.
