Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has reportedly resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), along with 23 members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
The development was confirmed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, in a post on his Facebook page.
Although the reasons for the move remain unclear, sources hinted that Governor Diri and the lawmakers may be preparing to formally join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming days.
