Osun APC chieftain, Falilat Oyetunji, popularly known as Ero Arike, has called on the party’s leadership and local government chairmen to account for funds allegedly mismanaged weeks ago.
In a video that has gone viral, Ero Arike accused some party officials of diverting local government funds and demanded transparency, warning that she may quit the party if the matter is not addressed.
“Where is the local government funds? Why would someone bring the money and it vanish into thin air? I want to know if it was used for the welfare of the state,” she said.
Ero Arike, visibly angry, added, “The people are hungry and have not benefited in any way. They can’t claim the money was used for palliatives because there’s nothing like that. The funds must be found, or I may leave APC.”
She appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene, urging that the missing funds be traced and properly accounted for, stressing that the issue threatens the integrity of the party and public trust.
