Ukachukwu Pledges Result-Oriented Governance, Says Anambra Deserves Action, Not Promises

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has reiterated his commitment to deliver a results-driven administration anchored on accountability, inclusion, and measurable outcomes if elected.

Ukachukwu, popularly called Ikukuoma, stated this yesterday while addressing parishioners and supporters at St. Albert The Great Catholic Parish, Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

He said Anambra could no longer afford to be trapped in what he described as “cycles of lofty promises and poor execution,” stressing that his vision was to rebuild public confidence through effective leadership and tangible performance.

“We have seen where empty promises have taken us as a state. Our mission is to fix the decay, restore integrity in governance, and make things work again. Our work, not our words, will speak for us,” Ukachukwu declared.

The APC candidate explained that his administration would focus on key economic drivers, particularly energy and industrial growth, to enhance productivity and attract investments.

He revealed plans to harness the vast natural gas reserves in Omasi, Ayamelum Local Government Area, which, he said, would be developed into an affordable and sustainable energy source for both households and businesses.

“The gas will be sold at very low rates to low-income earners first before being extended to others. This initiative will help lower electricity costs and stimulate industrial development across the state,” he added.

On market administration, Ukachukwu promised that traders would have the freedom to elect their leaders without government interference, noting that inclusivity and fairness would be hallmarks of his leadership.

> “My government will only observe the process. Leadership will reflect diversity — both indigenes and non-indigenes will be represented. Governance must be inclusive to be effective,” he said.

Ukachukwu urged voters to rally behind the APC ahead of the November 8 poll, maintaining that the party offers a credible alternative built on competence, transparency, and action.
