Uzodimma Praised as Key APC Player in National Politics – Yilwatda
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawa Yilwatda, has hailed Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as a “conscious force” in the party’s political journey across Nigeria.
Yilwatda made the remarks during the presentation of Uzodimma’s book, A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria, which chronicles the growth and achievements of the APC over the years.
The book launch coincided with President Bola Tinubu’s one-day working visit to Imo State, during which he commissioned several key projects, including the 60-kilometre Owerri-Umuahia road, the Assumpta Flyover, and the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre in Owerri.
Speaking at the event, Yilwatda described Uzodimma’s leadership as a stabilising factor in the nation’s political landscape and commended the governor’s role in strengthening the party’s presence in the southeast. He also lauded President Tinubu’s administration, describing its policies as bold and transformative for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
The book, according to Yilwatda, offers an important account of the APC’s growth, capturing both its challenges and milestones, while highlighting the party’s vision for the country.
